Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NasdaqGS:LULU) has announced a five-year strategic global partnership with exercise equipment and media firm Peloton Interactive, Inc. (NasdaqGS:PTON) wherein the latter will become the exclusive digital fitness content provider for lululemon, and lululemon will become the primary athletic apparel partner to Peloton. Celeste Burgoyne, President, Americas and Global Guest Innovation, lululemon, said:

NIKE (NYSE:NKE) has reported its fiscal 2024 financial results for its first quarter ended August 31, 2023. Revenues for the quarter totalled $12.9 billion – $12.4 billion for the NIKE brand, and $588 million for the Converse brand. The company’s Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer, Matthew Friend, said:

"Our first-quarter results demonstrated the impact of staying on the offense over the past fiscal year. With a healthy marketplace and another quarter of brand and business momentum, we are strengthening our foundation for sustainable, profitable, long-term growth."

Europe 4-0 in Ryder Cup, and Russia and Belarus Cleared to Compete in 2024 Paralympics in Paris

Europe swept four foursomes (alternate-shot) matches, going 4-0 in this morning’s session for the first time in Ryder Cup history, according to a report from ESPN. The biennial golf competition is being held in Italy, where the Europeans are seeking to reclaim the trophy after losing 19-9 at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin in 2021. Ireland's Shane Lowry said:

"We are off to a great start this morning. We need to keep the foot down. Look, we are very happy with our start today, and obviously there's a lot of golf to be played from here. We talked about getting off to a fast start, and we have done that."

The Associated Press reports that Russians and Belarusians will be allowed to compete as neutral athletes at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris after avoiding a full ban from the event following the invasion of Ukraine. This follows a vote of 74-65 from the International Paralympic Committee against suspending Russia’s membership entirely. According to the report, athletes “from Russia and Belarus arrived at the Winter Paralympics in Beijing in March 2022, about a week after Russian troops invaded Ukraine. They were excluded a day before the opening ceremony.”

Coinbase (NasdaqGS:COIN) has announced that Coinbase International Exchange has received additional regulatory approval from the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) to extend perpetual futures trading to non-US retail customers. As of today, non-US retail traders will be able to check their eligibility for perpetual futures on Coinbase Advanced, and trading is set to officially begin in the coming weeks. Denison Mines Corp. (NYSEAmerican:DNN) has announced the signing of a Shared Prosperity Agreement (SPA) with English River First Nation (ERFN) supporting the development and operation of Denison's Wheeler River Project in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. The ERFN’s acting Chief, Jenny Wolverine, explained:

“Together we built a strong deal for the Nation. We are confident that based on the size of the project and current best practices we have one of the best agreements in the entire country. As a Nation, we are now turning our attention to building our capacity for employment and training, so we are ready for the Wheeler River project and the full implementation of this important partnership."

Trilogy Metals Inc. (NYSEAmerican:TMQ) has posted an exploration update on its 100 percent-owned projects in northern Alaska. According to the press release, stream sediment and rock sampling has outlined two target areas prospective for volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) and shale-hosted zinc deposits at the Helpmejack Project in the eastern part of the Ambler Schist Belt. Richard Gosse, the company’s VP Exploration, said:

"The enrichments found in these stream sediments cannot be dismissed as metal scavenging and are thought to reflect the presence of zinc sulphide mineralization. Stream sediment geochemistry is the most cost-effective regional exploration method in the Ambler Schist Belt and was the method that led to the discovery of the Arctic VMS deposit. Recommended follow-up work at Helpmejack includes ridge and spur soil sampling along with mapping and rock sampling, a low-cost program to find and evaluate the source of the zinc in the stream sediments."

Kuya Silver Corporation (CSE:KUYA) has announced an update on drilling at the Silver Kings Project in Canada. This drilling is a follow up from the project’s Campbell-Crawford target, where earlier grassroots drilling intersected significant silver and cobalt mineralization (15,372 g/t silver, 0.08% cobalt over 3.34 m), both with uses in renewable energy. David Lewis, the company’s VP Exploration, said:

“Follow-up drilling at our Canadian Campbell-Crawford target is set to test the vertical and lateral extent of the grassroots Angus Vein discovery at depth in the ideal silver-cobalt mineralized zone. We also exposed two other nearby veins on surface with similar untested silver-cobalt potential at depth and all three of these veins are in close proximity and on a similar scale to major historic mines in Cobalt.”

Lancaster Resources Inc. (CSE:LCR) has submitted applications to the State of New Mexico Energy, Mines, and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to drill up to three wells targeting both shallow and deep conductive layers on its Alkali Flat Lithium Brine Project in New Mexico. Andrew Watson, the company’s VP, Operations and Engineering, said:

“The identified targets show clear opportunities for large aquifers containing concentrated lithium brine. We are expecting our first drill hole to allow us to collect brine samples, along with rock cuttings or core, from targeted intervals, allowing us to determine the concentration of lithium and other minerals."
