Marathon Digital Holdings, Inc. (NasdaqGS:MARA) recently published its unaudited bitcoin (BTC) production and miner installation updates for June 2021. Highlights include the production of 265.6 newly-minted bitcoins during June 2021, which increased the company’s total bitcoin holdings “to approximately 5,784 with a fair market value of approximately $201.6 million.” Fred Thiel, Marathon’s CEO, said:

“May, June, and July are slower delivery months as the majority of our miners are expected to be delivered this fall. We are therefore taking advantage of this opportunity to proactively perform maintenance and upgrades on a portion of our existing containers and systems before delivery schedules accelerate and to prepare for the expected decrease in global hashrate. These preparatory actions resulted in some of our miners being offline during June, temporarily decreasing our hashrate. However, we still increased our bitcoin production month over month, and we are now better prepared to receive the large upcoming shipments and take advantage of expected favorable mining conditions.”

Blockchain Foundry Inc. (CSE:BCFN) has entered into a blockchain development agreement with Gifty, described in the press release as “a new venture by Evolve Media aimed at building a cryptocurrency and NFT gifting platform.” This will see Blockchain Foundry “build a solution design to develop the Gifty platform.” Tommy Maples, Evolve Media’s founder, said:

"In a space that is evolving so quickly, I was looking for the best partner to execute my vision for our cryptocurrency gifting platform. Graph Blockchain Inc. (CSE:GBLC) has closed its acquisition of art-focused non-fungible tokens business New World Inc. NFTs, for those who might not be aware, are “unique files that live on a blockchain and are able to verify ownership of a work of digital art.” Andrew Ryu, Graph Blockchain’s Chairman, said:

"The attraction of NFT art is that it provides both artists and collectors entry to each other that did not exist 10 months ago. Previously obscure artists are seeing sales soar while amateur collectors grow their collections.”

Argo Blockchain (OTC:ARBKF) may be seeking to join the growing list of crypto companies to be listed on the Nasdaq, according to Cointelegraph. The company is eyeing the possibility of a secondary listing on the Nasdaq as part of its operational and strategic update. Argo noted that “There is no guarantee that the listing will be finalized,” and that “Any proposed listing is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the proposed listing may be completed.”

Discussing his background prior to joining the Board of Galaxy Power, Casse said, ”Originally, back around 2000 to about 2005, I was involved in a VC firm in Ontario, one of the early ones that was making cleantech Investments. I then moved to Bay Street where I worked as an analyst at some investment firms . I was covering a range of different companies from manufacturing technology, to environmental companies.“

“So what really got my attention, around 2010 was, I was looking at the power space and at that time in renewable energy, California started making a big push where they required, under a renewable portfolio standard that 20% of the State's power be generated from renewable sources, like solar and wind. At the same time, there was a very active tax-based incentive for renewable, so that got me very interested in the role of tax incentives driving renewable energy.”

Talking about how Galaxy can influence investment in the sector he noted, “In Canada, we need more capital investments. What Galaxy is doing now is spreading the gospel about flow-through shares which have been used so successfully in the mining industry. And we see that structure can be more applicable to the renewable energy industry across Canada. In order to create bigger scale companies that can compete on a worldwide basis, a lot of technology innovation is going to be needed over the next twenty years.”

Asked about his vision for Galaxy Power and its role in Canada’s cleantech future, he stated, “Well, based on all my years as an analyst and investor and venture capitalist and being involved with small early-stage companies, I've seen some great technology in Canada. We haven't won the long-term game and we haven't scaled-up to the world.stage as well as we could have. In some cases we have but we need more world leaders. We need more development of homegrown technology and I look forward to playing a role in that process.”

GBT Technologies Inc. (OTC PINK:GTCH) has announced that it is evaluating and testing a hybrid solution for an efficient, long range coverage for its Infinia Long Range radio system. Using a combination of HF and VHF/UHF radio, controlled by AI software, the company aims “to provide an efficient and reliable solution for voice and data signals without relying on any supporting infrastructure.” GBT’s CTO Danny Rittman explained:

“This type of radio technology, once developed, can potentially be an essential for military, medical and emergency services. Particularly in remote areas where traditional communication infrastructure is not available. A neural network-based control software combines these two frequency bands, creating a possible solution to enable an efficient, reliable and long-range voice and data communication. In addition, using our AI empowered inter-band methodology will increase the signal's security and privacy. We plan to conduct a massive evaluation of this type of technology during the next few months targeting remote locations, secured, reliable Long-Range communication."

NICE Ltd. (NasdaqGS:NICE) has unveiled a Robo Ethical Framework promoting responsibility and transparency in the design, creation and deployment of AI-powered robots. The Framework consists of a set of five guiding principles, namely that: Robots must be designed for a positive impact, Robots are free of bias, Robots must safeguard individuals, Robots must be driven by trusted data sources, and Robots must be designed with holistic governance and control. Coinbase Ventures, an investment arm of Coinbase (NasdaqGS:COIN), has led a seed funding round for Bitcoin (BTC)-enabling mobile-game platform Bling, according to a report from CoinDesk. The Bling platform comprises six games currently, and “as well as a software development kit (SDK) it will begin offering to other mobile game developers that includes a bitcoin rewards system, fraud detection and user value detection.” The bitcoin rewards system “uses Coinbase as a cash-out mechanism, and users must create a Coinbase wallet before they can earn any bitcoin rewards.”

HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd. (NasdaqGS:HVBT) has joined the NVIDIA (NasdaqGS:NVDA) Partner Network (NPN) Cloud Service Provider program and entered into purchase agreements for NVIDIA GPUs with a total contract value of more than $66 million. Frank Holmes, Executive Chairman of HIVE, said:

"HIVE has always had the ability to change course when required since being the first blockchain company to go public in 2017. Our investment in NVIDIA GPUs strengthens HIVE's to remain nimble and gives us the power to pivot in this ever changing and dynamic industry."

HIVE has also announced its long term high performance computing (HPC) strategy beyond Ethereum (ETH) 2.0. An excerpt from the press release reads:
