(NASDAQ:STRC) closed with a whopping gain of +0.80 (25.40%) to end the day at $3.95 following the company announced that its Board of Directors will conduct an open process to explore and evaluate strategic alternatives for SRI Surgical to enhance shareholder value, including a possible strategic alliance, merger or sale of SRI Surgical.
Eastern Virginia Bankshares, Inc. (NASDAQ:EVBS) ended at $2.75, up 0.55 (25.00%) on no news. So far this year, the stock is still down about 27%. It has a 52-week range of $1.50-$5.40. Yesterday, more than 15K shares exchanged hands - 3X its average volume.
