Netcoins, the online cryptocurrency brokerage subsidiary of BIGG Digital Assets Inc. (CSE:BIGG), has entered a non-exclusive partnership with BBTV Holdings Inc. (TSX:BBTV) for the launch of Pay To Crypto, described as “a premium solution to pay BBTV creators in cryptocurrencies.” BBTV is a Vancouver-based media and tech company that helps digital content creators to increase viewership and drive revenue. Mark Binns, the CEO of BIGG, said:

“We are thrilled to work with BBTV to enable this unique payment system, built on the Netcoins infrastructure and licensed offering. We see this as a first mover opportunity for BBTV, and utilizing our existing scale to offer excellent prices and seamless technology integration, sets BBTV up to be the leader in crypto payments to content creators.”

Digihost Technology Inc. (NasdaqCM:DGHI) has shared unaudited Bitcoin (BTC) production updates for the quarter and month ended December 31, 2021. Highlights include the mining of about 172.38 BTC in Q4 – a 168 percent increase over the 64.27 BTC mined in Q4 2020, and the receipt of 2,480 new, high-performance M30 BTC miners. CEO Michel Amar commented:

“The final quarter of 2021 proved to be an extremely productive quarter for our mining operations, as we increased our Bitcoin production by 30% over the prior quarter. We finished the year by mining the single highest amount of Bitcoin mined by the Company in any given quarter in the Company’s history, and, with shipments of our previously purchased miners accelerating over the coming months, we expect our Bitcoin production to continue to increase as we scale up our operations.”

Cointelegraph reports that Iran’s Central Bank (CBI) and its Ministry of Trade have reached an agreement to link the former’s payment platform to a trade system allowing businesses to settle payments using cryptocurrencies. The payment system is projected to be finalized “within the next two weeks.” Alireza Peyman-Pak, Iran’s deputy minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, is quoted in the article:

“All economic actors can use these cryptocurrencies. The trader takes the ruble, the rupee, the dollar, or the euro, which he can use to obtain cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which is a form of credit and can pass it on to the seller or importer. [...] Since the cryptocurrency market is done on credit, our economic actors can easily use it and use it widely.”
