Hudbay Minerals Inc. (NYSE:HBM) has announced an exploration agreement with the Uchucarcco community in Peru giving it surface rights to the Maria Reyna and Caballito satellite properties near its Constancia mine. These properties, according to the press release, “consist of a large, contiguous block of mineral rights held by Hudbay and have the potential to host mineral deposits within trucking distance of the Constancia processing facilities.” Hudbay’s President and CEO, Peter Kukielski, said:
“Historic drilling at Maria Reyna indicates attractive grades over wide intersections starting at surface and the past-producing Caballito property has the potential to add higher grade copper mineralization to our Constancia operations. This exploration agreement demonstrates our commitment to partnering with the local communities and we look forward to continuing to work harmoniously with the communities to add value to our long-life operation in Peru.”
Galiano Gold Inc. (NYSEAmerican:GAU) has posted an update on the drilling results at Nkran after having completed an infill drilling program at the Asanko Gold Mine in Ghana. Nkran saw the completion of 24 diamond drill holes totalling 8,116m, and according to the press release, has “a Mineral Resource Estimate of 12.1 Mt at 2.09 g/t for 814 kozs indicated and 1.3 Mt at 2.23 g/t for 96 kozs inferred.” Galiano Gold’s President and CEO, Matt Badylak, said:
"This deposit has historically yielded significant cash flows due to its proximity to the processing plant, elevated grade profile and favourable metallurgy. It is important to note that mineralization extends below the current resource shell and remains open at depth. Going forward, we anticipate Nkran to be a key deposit in our upcoming Life of Mine Plan and are excited to incorporate these latest drilling results into an updated Technical Report scheduled for release in Q1 2023."
GoldSpot Discoveries Corp. (TSXV:SPOT) has reported its unaudited consolidated financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2022. Highlights for the quarter include an increase in the firm’s consulting revenue to $3,376,124, as well as the expansion of its ML/AI-based core logging capability. (TSXV:INTR) has entered into a definitive agreement with Bronco Creek Exploration (BCE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of EMX Royalty Corporation (NYSEAmerican:EMX), to acquire a 100 percent interest in the Mesa Well Copper Property in south-central Arizona's copper porphyry belt. The CEO of Intrepid Metals, Ken Brophy, said:
"The Mesa Well project is within the Laramide Porphyry Belt, home to major copper operators such as BHP and Freeport. The property contains favourable reactive host rocks and previous drilling identified porphyry-style alteration and copper-molybdenum mineralization. We know the Bronco Creek Exploration team are strong project generators and are excited about the potential of a new porphyry discovery."
