IAMGOLD Corporation (NYSE:IAG) has entered into definitive agreements with Managem Group to sell its interests in its exploration and development projects in Senegal, Mali and Guinea – collectively called the "Bambouk assets” – for aggregate consideration of approximately $282 million. Maryse Bélanger, IAMGOLD’s Interim President and CEO, said:

"The sale of our Bambouk assets to Managem is the culmination of a comprehensive strategic review and sale process. We are pleased that ownership of the Bambouk assets will be assumed by Managem, which has decades of mining development and operating experience in Africa and intends to advance these assets responsibly, for the benefit of all stakeholders. IAMGOLD and Managem will work closely towards a smooth transition of ownership.”

Thor Explorations Ltd. (TSXV:THX) has reported drill-intersections of significant gold mineralisation from the Makosa gold deposit at its Douta Gold Project in Senegal. The Makosa gold deposit, according to the press release, “currently comprises an Inferred Resource of 730,000 ounces of gold, grading at 1.53 grams per ton, as announced in its maiden Mineral Resource Estimate published on 18 November 2021.” Segun Lawson, the company’s President and CEO, said:

“These results are impressive and highly encouraging in the context of the Douta Project and conclude a highly successful drilling season on a celebratory note. The wide zones of near-surface oxide mineralisation combined with solid higher-grade zones at depth provide the encouragement and impetus to propel the next phase of advancing this very exciting project in the New Year. In the coming year our we plan to maintain focus both on resource growth and project development in Senegal to meet our objective of bringing the Company's second gold mine into production."

Kraken Energy Corp. (TSXV:UUSA) has announced that it has added a second drill rig at Garfield Hills Uranium Property in Nevada, and will be expanding its inaugural drill program after receiving positive initial drilling results. The company’s CEO, Matthew Schwab, said:

"We are highly encouraged by these initial drilling results from Garfield Hills which confirm the presence of uranium mineralization as previously reported. The expanded vertical thicknesses of up to 32.0 m, the mineralized horizon shows greater potential than originally thought for the project and provides firm reasoning to expand and accelerate our ongoing program."

1844 Resources Inc. (TSXV:EFF) has completed the 2022 work program on the Native Copper project. This program consisted of targeted prospecting, trenching and spot sampling, driven by the results of a high-resolution magnetic survey and 2D historical data. According to the press release, the program demonstrated the presence of copper mineralization in five sectors known as Vondenbleau, Power, Ruisseau Cantin, Fer-à-Cheval and Triangle d'Argent.
