Today we are looking at announcements from Valens GroWorks Corp. (CSE: VGW) (OTC: VGWCF), Organigram Inc. (TSXV: OGI) (OTC: OGRMF), BLOCKStrain Technology Corp. (TSX:V: DNAX.V) (OTC:BKKSF), The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd. (TSX: TGOD) (OTC: TGODF) and Harvest One Cannabis Inc. (TSX-V: HVT) (OTCQX: HRVOF).
Valens GroWorks Corp., a multi-licensed, vertically integrated provider of cannabis products and services focused on various proprietary extraction methodologies, distillation, cannabinoid isolation and purification, as well as associated quality testing announced that it has entered into a multi-year extraction services agreement with Organigram Inc. for cannabis and hemp extraction services.
Under the terms of the agreement, Valens will extract cannabis flowers and trim from Organigram's Moncton operation as well as hemp to produce extract concentrate. In turn, the concentrate will be used by Organigram to produce oils and, eventually, derivative edible and vaporizable cannabis products. The legalization of cannabis edibles and other derivative based products in Canada is expected later this year. In addition, under the terms of the Agreement, Valens will also provide lab services for Organigram as needed.

BLOCKStrain Technology Corp. , creator of the first Blockchain-secured, fully-integrated IP tracking platform for the cannabis industry, and NXT Water LLC, the fastest-growing entrant in the Hemp-Derived Beverage category, has established itself as a turn-key manufacturing solution for the burgeoning CBD industry, with its core focus on its most effective absorption modality, water. BLOCKStrain and NXT have entered into a letter of intent dated Jan. 10, 2019, to integrate the BLOCKStrain technology into NXT's launch. The partnership will develop and launch AKESO Functional Fitness Water, a hemp-derived CBD beverage which will serve as the new benchmark brand for NXT Water. The LOI will be superseded by a formal agreement and the transactions contemplated therein are subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.

The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings Ltd. announced that the Danish Medicines Agency, the Government body responsible for issuing cannabis related licenses, has granted an initial cannabis business authorization to TGOD's joint venture production partner Knud Jepsen. This licence will allow TGOD's JV partner Kund Jepsen to immediately begin importation of starting materials and to begin research and development related to the creation of elite cannabis genetics. Per the terms of the recently completed definitive agreement, Knud Jepsen will submit a request to the Danish Medicines Agency for the assignment of this licence to the TGOD-Knud Jepsen Danish joint venture, a process that is already underway and expected to be completed within the coming weeks.
The initial licence, issued under the Danish Medicines Agency's Development Scheme, enables the importation of starting materials, the receipt, possession, cultivation and processing of cannabis, and distribution and export of analytical samples to foreign labs. After the cultivation and harvest of three confirmed and consistent crops, an additional authorization licence will be issued allowing for the sale of authorized medicinal cannabis products.
