IBM (NYSE:IBM) has announced the launch, in collaboration with TD Securities, of an AI-based virtual assistant powered by IBM Watson Assistant that can help customers with inquiries on the TD Precious Metals digital store, including frequently asked questions. Daniel Cascone, Financial Services Sector Leader for IBM Canada, said:
"With rapid acceleration of digital transformation, businesses need to enhance their services using AI-powered intelligent workflows. The use of AI to automate tasks can drive greater efficiency and strengthen customer relationships. We are working with TD Securities to enrich overall customer experience with the power of innovative technology like conversational AI through the IBM Watson-powered AI virtual assistant."
Fluence Energy Inc. (NasdaqGS:FLNC) has announced an agreement with The AES Corporation (NYSE:AES) in which it will use the AI-powered Fluence IQ Bidding Application “to maximize the value of a 1.1 GW portfolio of solar and energy storage projects in the Western United States,” in a deal representing “one of the largest single procurements of AI-powered bidding software for renewables and storage assets by an independent power producer in the United States.” Seyed Madaeni, Fluence SVP and Chief Digital Officer, commented:

Global AI in Genomics Market to Reach $5.72B in 2027
A report published by Research and Markets finds that the global AI in Genomics market will grow from $535 million USD in 2021 to $5.72 billion in 2027, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 48.44 percent in the forecast period 2022-27. An excerpt from the report’s description reads:
