Pepper Invest, the digital investment platform of Pepper by Israeli banking giant Leumi (OTC:BLMIF), has announced the launch of a cryptocurrency trading service. This makes Pepper “the first banking platform in Israel - and among the few worldwide - to allow its customers to trade cryptocurrencies,” according to the press release. Uri Nathan, the CEO of Pepper, said:

"We are proud to be the first in the Israeli banking system and one of the few worldwide to offer our customers to trade in cryptocurrencies simply, safely and reliably, without the need to download a crypto wallet and with all tax complexities being resolved by the bank This step is a game-changer and offers our customers a bridge to the new era of investments and to the future of banking."

Korea JoongAng Daily reports that LG Electronics (KSE:066570) has added crypto and blockchain as new business areas in its corporate charter, following a shareholder meeting on Thursday. The newly-listed objectives for the company include "the development and selling of blockchain-based software" and "the sale and brokerage of cryptocurrency.” A spokesperson for the company responded vaguely with regard to whether LG planned on establishing a cryptocurrency exchange.

"Nothing has been decided yet. We just mentioned business areas in a broad manner."

WonderFi Technologies Inc. (OTC:WONDF) has closed the previously announced acquisition of First Ledger Corp., the parent company of leading cryptocurrency platform Bitbuy Technologies Inc. Michael Arbus, CEO of Bitbuy commented:
