PayPal (NasdaqGS:PYPL) has announced that it is now supporting the native transfer of cryptocurrencies between PayPal and other wallets and exchanges. According to the press release, this feature – currently available “to select U.S. users” – will allow customers to: “transfer supported coins into PayPal,” “move crypto from PayPal to external crypto addresses including exchanges and hardware wallets,” and “send crypto to family and friends on PayPal in seconds, with no fees or network charges to send or receive.” Jose Fernandez da Ponte, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Blockchain, Crypto & Digital Currencies, at PayPal, added:

Allowing PayPal customers the flexibility to move their crypto assets (Bitcoin [BTC], Ethereum [ETH], Bitcoin Cash [BCH], or Litecoin [LTC]) into, outside of, and within our PayPal platform reflects the continuing evolution of our best-in-class platform and enables customers to interact with the broader crypto ecosystem. Customers who transfer their crypto into PayPal can extend the utility of their crypto by spending using our Checkout with Crypto product at millions of merchants.

Bit Digital, Inc. (NasdaqCM:BTBT) has posted its unaudited bitcoin production and corporate updates for the month of May 2022. Highlights include the earning of 53.4 BTC and 27.0 ETH, treasury holdings of BTC and ETH of 793.6 and 316.1, respectively, and the owning of 33,376 bitcoin miners and 731 Ethereum miners as of May 31, with “an estimated maximum total hash rate of 2.17 EH/s and 0.3 TH/s, respectively.”

Metaverse Group, a subsidiary of Web3 firm Tokens.com Corp. (OTC:SMURF), has entered a partnership agreement with virtual reality company, Emperia, to collaborate on creating virtual reality experiences in virtual storefronts for fashion brands in the Metaverse.
