Cointelegraph reports that Mastercard (NYSE:MA) has partnered with crypto gateway provider Fasset to co-develop digital solutions that may drive the adoption of cryptocurrency in Indonesia. Additionally, the firms aim to “expand financial inclusion in the country and extend opportunities to its local economy.” According to Hendra Suryakusuma, an executive at Fasset, “there is an unbanked population of 92 million in Indonesia.” Suryakusuma said:

“Our partnership seeks to lower the barriers to digital finance and drive greater opportunities to benefit from the use of emerging financial services.”

Suryakusuma went on to say:

“The implications on the industry are greater legitimization of crypto assets, their use cases and areas of applications.”

CleanSpark, Inc. (NasdaqCM:CLSK) has announced that it has acquired 1,061 Whatsminer M30S machines “at a substantially discounted price compared to the spot market price from just a few months ago.” These machines, according to the press release, “are already mining bitcoin (BTC) at Coinmint’s renewable-powered co-location facility,” and add about 93 petahashes per second (PH/s) of computing power to CleanSpark’s existing mining capacity. Zach Bradford, CEO of CleanSpark, said:

“We are seeing unprecedented opportunities in this market. Our tried-and-true hybrid approach of co-locating our machines while expanding our own mining facilities puts us in an excellent position to sustainably grow our bitcoin mining capacity in what is shaping up to be an incredible market for builders.”

Web3 crypto assets investor Tokens.com Corp. (OTC:SMURF) has acquired Playte Group, described as “a company that builds tools to power the play-to-earn (P2E) economy.” The latter will be integrated into Tokens.com subsidiary, Hulk Labs, where its platform will be used to manage its player network in Africa. Andrew Kiguel, CEO of Tokens.com, explained:

"Hulk Labs is tying together the key pieces to create an integrated play-to-earn gaming platform. The massive video game market is shifting to play-to-earn games.
