Hecla Mining Company (NYSE:HL) has announced its preliminary production results for the third quarter of 2022. Highlights include the production of 3.6 million ounces of silver – on track to exceed production guidance, and 44,747 ounces of gold. Phillips S. Baker, Jr., the company’s President and CEO, said:
"Hecla reported another strong quarter of operational performance from all three mines as Greens Creek achieved record throughput for the quarter, Lucky Friday’s quarterly production continued to exceed 1 million ounces and the mine has already produced around 90% of last year’s annual production, and Casa Berardi delivered consistent production with the mill continuing the record throughput rates. We also completed the acquisition of Alexco and are advancing Keno Hill development for consistent mill production in 2023."
Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. (NYSE:OR) has posted an update on its third quarter 2022 deliveries, revenues, cash margin and recent asset advancements for its royalty and stream segment. The company earned about 23,850 attributable gold equivalent ounces in Q3, and recorded $53.7 million CAD in preliminary revenues from royalties and streams. Sandeep Singh, President and CEO of Osisko, said:
“We are delighted to have experienced another quarter of record deliveries, revenues and cash margin in Q3. These records were achieved despite the Eagle mine still working towards steady-state production, the gold price averaging US$142 per ounce lower quarter over quarter, and a meaningfully higher gold-silver price ratio used to convert silver deliveries into GEOs. The higher gold-silver price ratio, which has since subsided somewhat, decreased GEOs earned by approximately 850 ounces in the third quarter versus expectations. We believe our assets have the ability to end the year on a continued upswing and meet the low end of our guidance, with further increases from core assets expected in 2023.”
Endeavour Silver Corp. (NYSE:EXK) has announced the production of 1,458,448 ounces of silver, 9,194 ounces of gold, and 2.2 million ounces of silver equivalent for Q3 this year. Dan Dickson, the company’s CEO, said:
“The ore grades processed at Guanacevi continue to exceed plan, which has positioned the Company to meet the upper end of our improved production guidance. The outperformance is well timed, as we continue to face financial pressure from lower metal prices and inflationary effects on inputs. We announced impressive drill results from our exploration program in the quarter at Guanacevi, where we are extending and defining the vertical extents of the Porvenir Dos orebody, which is near historic working areas.”
Graphano Energy Ltd. (TSXV:GEL) has started the fall exploration program on its 100 percent-owned Lac Aux Bouleaux (LAB) graphite property in Quebec, Canada. According to the press release, the property boasts eight prospective graphite zones. The company’s CEO, Luisa Moreno, said:
"We are pleased that the fall 2022 exploration program is now underway. Initially we will be trenching and stripping the areas with new graphite outcrops to identify drilling targets. The prospecting work will be immediately followed by a drilling program to test new zones of graphite mineralization and the extension of the zones identified during previous drilling this year."
